President Muhammadu Buhari has shifted Nigeria’s recession blame from past administrations to the misfortunes in the oil industry.

It would be recalled that President Buhari had ceaselessly blamed past governments for the economic downturn that has greeted the country.

But Buhari, while inaugurating the governing boards of three parastatals of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources at the Presidential Villa, changed his language by blaming the recession on dwindling oil revenues.

“Nigeria has been hit by the misfortunes of oil industry but several countries have been hit much harder,” Buhari said.
