Buhari Tells APC To ‘Abduct’ PDP Senator

President Muhammadu Buhari says his party the All Progressives Congress (APC), should “abduct” Senate Minority Whip, Philip Aduda, from the opposition People’s Democratic Party.

Buhari said this when Aduda and some guests visited him on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, at his official residence in the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Aduda, who is of the PDP, represents the Federal Capital Territory in the Senate.

The President jokingly said Aduda seemed to be enjoying the Senate so much that he was putting on weight.

“This opposition leader maybe next election we will try and abduct him from his party, he seems to be enjoying so much at the Senate that he seems to be putting on weight by the day,” Mr Buhari said while referring to Aduda.

“I’m very pleased that we are working very hard collectively as Nigerians and that God in his infinite mercy who knows what is in the heart and not by mouth, will continue to guide us so that we accommodate each other at all times.”
