Certificate Scandal: Senate To Summon ABU Authorities
There are indications that the Senate will this week summon the authorities of Ahmadu Bello University to clear the air on the controversy surrounding the certificate of Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye.
Recall that Sahara Reporters claimed that Melaye never graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Kaduna as he claimed, adding the Department of States Services, DSS was alerted over the issue but covered it up.
The senator, who is also the chairman, Senate Committee on the Federal Territory, however, denied all claims, stating that he is not only a graduate of the institution but also a graduate of University of Abuja, London School of Economics and Political Science and Harvard University.

The senate, in a reaction, constituted a committee to investigate the allegations.
A source who pleaded anonymity said, “The Senate is inviting the authorities of the Universities Dino Melaye said he attended.
“Specifically, the Senate is inviting Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) to clear the controversy. The truth will be cleared by ABU this week. All the allegations are rubbish, ABU will not offer anybody admission with three credits.”
