Ahead of Nigeria’s opening game against Niger at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the payment of Super Eagles’ allowances and bonuses.
This was made known by the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung on Sunday, when he and some NFF officials visited the team at their Hillview Hotel base in Kigali.
Assuring the team on their welfare, the minister said: “I’m happy to announce to you that President Buhari has approved your winning bonus and camp allowance right from Abuja.
“The President also thanks the coaching crew and all the players for your perseverance and he is urging you to go all out for the trophy.”
The Super Eagles will play the Mena of Niger at the Stade Regional Nyamirambow, in Kigali on Monday.
