CHAN 2016: Super Eagles Draw Tunisia, Guinea, Niger Republic in Group C

The Home Based Super Eagles have been grouped alongside Tunisia, Niger and Guinea in Group C of the 2016 Orange African Nations Championship in Rwanda.

The competition which is now in its fourth edition is for footballers playing in the domestic leagues on the African continent.

The draw held Sunday by the Confederation of African Football, CAF at the plush Serena Hotel in Kigali, with CAF Secretary General, Hicham El Amrani, conducting the draw with the assistance of Rwanda captain, Haruna Niyonzima and head coach of the Rwanda women’s national team, Marie Grace Umuntu.

The Super Eagles will play their group games at the Stade Regional de Nyamirambo in the Rwandan capital, Kigali.

Meanwhile, hosts, Rwanda were drawn in Group A alongside Gabon, Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire.

Winners of the maiden edition in 2009, DR Congo are in Group B with 2011 Angola, Cameroon and Ethiopia, with Zimbabwe, Mali, Uganda and Zambia battling it out in Group D.

The tournament will be played in Rwanda from January 16 to February 7, 2016.
