Charly Boy’s Group Storm NNPC, Protest Fuel Crisis

Members of “Our Mumu Don Do” movement led by popular entertainer Charles Oputa, otherwise known as Charly Boy, on Wednesday occupied the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) towers in Abuja, over the lingering fuel crisis in the country.

Rapheal Adebayo, the group’s spokesperson, said the exercise became imperative as those in the position of authority are quiet over the lingering fuel crisis that have subjected Nigerians to untold hardship.

Adebayo said President Muhammadu Buhari has failed in fulfilling his campaign promises to Nigerians, as he remained insensitive over those who voted him into power.

The exercise comes less than 24-hours after the group stormed the National Assembly to seek audience with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, over what it described as ‘observable lacuna’ in the nation’s electoral laws.

Nigerians have found it difficult to get petrol, in what is described as one of the longest fuel crisis in the history of the country, stretching back to November 2017.
