CJN Advises New Lawyers To Always Stand On The Side Of Justice

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, on Wednesday, charged new lawyers who were called to the Bar to embrace the ethics expected of members of the profession.

Speaking at the closing of the two-day call to bar ceremony in Abuja , the CJN urged the 3,277 successful new lawyers to learn how to discern between right and wrong to enable them to speak the truth at all times and stand on the side of justice.

He said, “As ministers in the temple of justice, you must learn to discern between right and wrong, ethical and unethical so that you will stand on the side of justice by always speaking the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
