Arsenal have been drawn against Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, while Barcelona will battle French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint Germain.
Bayern and Arsenal have played each other ten times, all since 2000/01. The German club have won five of those games and the English side three, with Bayern eliminating Arsenal in the round of 16 in 2004/05, 2012/13 and 2013/14.
Barcelona got the better of PSG in the 2012/13 and 2014/15 quarter-finals, although the French club came out on top when the teams met in the last eight in 1994/95. Each side won their home game when their paths crossed again in the 2014/15 group stage.
In other last 16 draws, Manchester City will play Monaco, Benfica will battle Dortmund, while Real Madrid face Napoli.
2004 champions FC Porto will have their hands fulll against Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen will play last season’s finalist Atletico Madrid, with Leicester City facing Sevilla.
Atlético and Leverkusen have played four times in recent years, sharing two 1-1 draws in the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League group stage and a home 1-0 win each in the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League round of 16 – Atlético won the tie on penalties.
The First legs will be played on 14/15 and 21/22 February, with return legs taken place on 7/8 and 14/15 March 2017.
