Bayern Munich won for the first time in four games as Joshua Kimmich’s scoring run continued in a 4-1 success over PSV Eindhoven.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side had not recorded a victory since defeating Hamburg 1-0 at the end of September but they were far too strong for their Dutch opponents in this Champions League tie.

Thomas Muller broke the deadlock with his first Bayern goal in six games, Kimmich nodded in his seventh in his past eight appearances. Robert Lewandowski claimed his 15th for club and country this term and Arjen Robben rounded it off against his former club.

Yannick Carrasco scored the only goal of the game as Atletico Madrid maintained their 100 per cent record in Champions League Group D with a 1-0 win at Rostov.

The visitors went into the game on the back of a four-game winning streak culminating in a 7-1 thrashing of La Liga rivals Granada on Saturday.

And although they were not able to repeat such a rout against a resolute Rostov defence, Carrasco’s 62nd-minute volley from a Juanfran cross proved enough to give Atletico the points.

Angel Di Maria scored his first goal of the season to put Paris Saint-Germain on course for a 3-0 win over Basel.

The Argentina international smashed home five minutes before the break before Lucas Moura’s second-half strike and a late Edinson Cavani penalty sealed victory to keep Unai Emery’s men level on points with Arsenal at the top of Group A.

The Gunners thrashed Ludogorets 6-0 on a night Mesut Ozil scored his first professional hat-trick.

Vincent Aboubakar’s header four minutes from time earned Besiktas victory at Napoli as the Turkish side edged a Champions League thriller 3-2.

The home side twice pegged back their visitors and they thought that they had gone ahead late on, only to see Manolo Gabbiadini’s strike ruled out for offside.

And Aboubakar then nodded in his second goal of the game from Ricardo Quaresma’s free-kick late on, ensuring Napoli dropped points for the first time in this year’s competition as Group B was blown wide open.

Under-fire Dynamo Kiev boss Sergei Rebrov saw his side suffer a 2-0 home defeat to Benfica to leave their Champions League hopes in tatters.

Eduardo Salvio ramped up the pressure on Rebrov when he converted a ninth-minute penalty and the out-of-sorts Ukrainian champions were out of it when Franco Cervi netted 10 minutes after half-time.

Dynamo have now won just two games in their past 10 matches in all competitions and sit bottom of Group B with a single point.

In Group C, Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick as 10-man Manchester City lost 4-0 on Pep Guardiola’s return to Barcelona in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Celtic’s chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League were dealt a huge blow as they were beaten 2-0 by Borussia Monchengladbach at Celtic Park.
