Ahead of the 2015 Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships in India, the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) on Thursday named the 10 players that would represent the country at the games.

This was disclosed by the Federation’s Technical Director, Anderson Bankole, who explained that the team was made up of five male and five female players, adding that the players were selected on merit.

Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, Bankole said: “We conducted trials for players before the Games in Congo-Brazzaville. We used the results from the trials to select the players.

“They exhibited the zeal to deliver and we have decided to give them a chance to prove themselves.

“I believe in their abilities that they will deliver in India. They are good players who know what they are doing.

“I am sure they know it’s a big privilege going to represent their country and I believe they will give a good account of themselves.

“We don’t want to be limited to the recycling of players. We want to have as many players as possible and be able toblend them appropriately for future competitions.
