There is an ongoing commotion at the House of Representative, as members of the house denied the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu admittance into the green chambers.

Kachikwu is expected to explain the reason for the recent hike in the price of petrol from N86.5 to N145 and the removal of fuel subsidy.

The Ruckus started after the leader of the house, Femi Gbajabiamila, moved a motion for the lower legislative chamber to admit Kachikwu into its fold.

But when Yakubu Dogara, speaker, of the house, put the motion to a voice vote, majority of the members chorused “nay”, protesting against allowing Kachikwu into the chamber.

However, Dogara ruled against the majority voice which sparked a shouting match at the chamber, disrupting the proceedings as some members soon started chanting “All we are saying, save Nigeria.”
