Cross River Assembly Confirms Justice Edem As New Chief Judge

Justice Michael Edem has been confirmed as the substantive Chief Judge of Cross River State.

The Cross River House of Assembly confirmed Justice Edem following a letter sent by Governor Ben Ayade, requesting his confirmation as the state’s substantive Chief Judge.

Edem had been Cross River’s acting Chief Judge for months.

The State’s Speaker, Hon. John Gaul Lebo, congratulated Edem on his appointment and charged him to be resolute in the discharge of his duties.

“I am very confident that Justice Edem would significantly up the ante in the dispensation of justice in the state,” Lebo said.
