Delayed Commission On N13bn Ikoyi Cash: Whistle Blowers May Seek ‘Pay Before Service’ – Sani

The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shenu Sani, has warned that whistle blowers may start demanding ‘pay before service’ before disclosing location of illicit funds to the Federal Government.

Senator Sani was reacting to government’s delay in paying commission to the whistle blower behind the discovery of the N13 billion Ikoyi cash.

The lawmaker’s reaction follows the contracting statements between the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, and Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), regarding the 5 percent cut payable to the whistle blower.

“Not paying whistle blowers in good time may lead blowers setting conditions of pay before service,” Sani tweeted.
