Democracy Day: FG Declares May 29 Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, May 29, as a public holiday to mark the 2018 Democracy Day.

The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.) made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement by its Permanent Secretary, Dr Muhammed Umar, on Friday.

Dambazau congratulated Nigerians on the sustained democracy in the country and reassured them that the Federal Government is committed to entrenching democracy in the country.

May 29 marks President Muhammadu Buhari’s third year in office.
