Despite Buhari’s Deadline, Boko Haram Kills 7, Burns Down Village

With about 20 days to the deadline set by President Muhammadu Buhari for the defeat of the Boko Haram terrorist group, insurgents of the sect killed 7 civilians and burnt down the whole of Kamuya village, in Biu local government area of Borno.

The village, which is located along the border between Borno and Yobe states, was reportedly attacked on Thursday, December 10.

Besides those killed in the attack, several people, including young boys and girls were also said to have been abducted by the insurgents.

A local vigilante, Ali Biu, is reported to have disseminated information on the attack, claiming that the marauding insurgents burned Kamuya village to the ground.

“We received a report early this morning that they [Boko Haram] slaughtered 7 people including 2 women and 5 elderly men at around 10:30 pm last night [Thursday].”
