There was drama today at plenary as Senator Dino Melaye, the lawmaker representing Kogi West senatorial district, appeared at senate wearing academic robe and cap.
The Senator was just yesterday, vindicated from claims that he did not graduate from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He was cleared of the allegations after the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Ibrahim Garba, told the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public petitions that Senator Melaye, who was known as Daniel Jonah Melaye, graduated with a third class in Geography in the year, 2000.

Hours after the confirmation by the VC, a video went viral where the senator was dancing and singing in Yoruba language celebrating the turn of event.
The senator, at plenary today, walked into the red chamber clad in the full academic regalia and smiling as cameras shut away. He thereafter went round the chamber to exchange pleasantries with all the Senators present.
