The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Wednesday night, released the Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus under stringent bail terms.

His passport was seized and he was made to produce two sureties with a N750 million bond each. The sureties are Federal Civil Servants on Grade Level 17

Counsel to the PDP Chieftain, Mr. Emeka Etiaba (SAN), said: “The PDP Deputy National Chairman has been released but under extremely stringent conditions. For a man whose alleged offence has not been proven, he does not deserve stringent bail terms.

Secondus was detained by the anti-graft agency for allegedly receiving 23 choice vehicles from Jide Omokore of Atlantic Energy, a business associate of ex-Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
