Ekweremadu Visits Jonathan’s Aides Being Held By EFCC

Around quarter past 17:00 hours this evening, the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu visited detained three cabinet members of former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Femi Fani Kayode, the media director of the Goodluck/ Jonathan 2015 presidential campaigns on a solidarity visit.

The Senate President, Ekweremadu was received at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s headquarters Abuja by the commission’s Deputy Director, Operations, Umar Abbas, where the four are being held.

Senator Ekweremadu told them; former Federal Capital Territory, Minister, Bala Mohammed, State, Defence Minister, Musiliu Obanikoro, Special Adviser, Media, Reuben Abati and Femi Fani-Kayode that what is happening is a leadership challenge.

Adding that they should not be weighed down by the situation but should be of good cheer and assuring them that at the end of the day there would be no problems.

The four thanked him for the opportunity of finding time to visit them and also appreciated his leadership qualities.

The meeting was facilitated by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission Liaison Officer at the National Assembly, Suleiman Bakari.
