Ex Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has demanded a compensation of one billion Naira from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for defaming him.

Keshi who was sacked by the NFF earlier this month after the Nigeria Football Federation discplinary committee made various allegations against him, is desperate to protect his reputation which has since suffered a serious knock.

In a letter written to the NFF through his lawyers demanding a compensation of N1bn (One Billion Naira) for damages, Keshi claimed the NFF wrongfully dismissed and defamed him.

The NFF in it’s defence said that Keshi’s claim holds no water and will not be coerced to compensate Keshi as the federation does not owe him.

A source revealed that “Keshi’s lawyers have demanded for a billion Naira from the NFF as compensation for defaming their client.”

This is coming four months after the 53-year-old coach signed a new two-year contract after his initial three-year deal with the NFF ran out at last year’s World Cup in Brazil.
