Ezekwesili Attacks Buhari For Seeking More Time To Deal With Herdsmen

For begging Nigerians to grant him more time to deal with “killer” Fulani herdsmen, former Education Minister, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, has slammed President Muhammad Buhari.

President Buhari, in a recent statement by his media aide, Garba Shehu, had sought more patience from the citizens to enable him and his service chiefs “rack their brains” so as to come up with a grand plan to stop the widespread Fulani herdsmen killings in the country.

“I appeal for your patience while my security teams rack their brains to put an end to this horrendous violence,” the president had said.

Reacting however, Mrs Ezekwesili said Buhari’s appeal for more time to end the herdsmen killings proves the point that the president is “detached from the reality” of happenings in the country.

She tweeted on Friday, “Did he (Buhari) just say be patient? This is all we need as citizens to know that our President is very detached from the reality of what his people have been telling him to stop the killings.

Ezekwesili added that, “His security teams are racking their brains? This is too much.”
