Ezekwesili Named Speaker For Realnews 5th Anniversary Lecture

Ex-World Bank Vice President, Oby Ezekwesili, has been billed to speak at the 5th Anniversary Lecture of Realnews Magazine.

Ezekwesili, who is Nigeria’s former Minister of Education, will speak on “African Leadership in a Turbulent Era” at the event slated for 10 a.m. on November 16, 2017 at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

Maureen Chigbo, the publisher of Realnews Magazine Online, announced Ezekwesili as the first female speaker that will deliver the Realnews Anniversary Lecture series.

Recall that the Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) in Sweden had just last month appointed the former minister as its ‘Global State of Democracy’ Ambassador.

The former World Bank Vice President will be joined by the likes of Dr. Ibn Mohamed Chambers, United Nations Secretary General’s special representative to West African and Sahel (2016); Professor Chukwuma Soludo, former governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, (2015) and Professor Maurice Iwu, former chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, (2014), who have all served as past speakers at the Magazine’s annual lecture series.
