Manchester United are through to the Quarter-final of the FA Cup, after a comfortable victory over League One side Shrewsbury Town.
After back-to-back losses to Sunderland and Midtjylland, Louis Van Gaal’s men were brilliant on Monday night to ease the pressure off the Dutchman.
The Red Devils, overcame Shrewsbury Town 3-0, and were already through in the first half after Chris Smalling and a Juan Mata’s free-kick gave the visitor’s a half time advantage, as they were never threatened by the home-side, who appeared lacking in ambition for much of the match.
Jesse Lingard completed the scoring in the 61st minute, as Louis Van Gaal’s side eased into the Sixth-round.
West Ham await for United in the quarter-finals, whilst Chelsea and Arsenal are potential semi-final/final opponents.
United host Midtjylland, in the second leg, round of 32 in the Europa league on Thursday, before a visit by Arsenal in the Premier League.
