Facebook Messenger Can Now Book Your Flight Ticket

Facebook messenger in partnership with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is giving passengers the option to use Messenger to receive flight updates.

Passengers will get the opportunity to get their booking confirmation and notifications about scheduling changes and the flight’s status via the app.

The airline will also send itinerary and boarding pass, which will get the travelers through security and onto their flight.

There is an option for Passengers to chat with KLM support staff right inside the Messenger.

David Marcus, who leads the Facebook Messenger team, said that this is just the beginning of its work with KLM.

“This is one that I’ve been personally eager to solve for a while – removing stress and complication from air travel,” Marcus was quoted as saying.

KLM is Facebook’s “first airline partner,” and Facebook may go for more of such partners, he added.

Facebook has been working on new ways to transform the messenger into a communication platform for businesses, as a way to send and receive information with customers.
