Fani-Kayode Slams Buhari For Asking World Bank To Concentrate Projects On Northern Nigeria

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for asking the World Bank to concentrate development projects on Northern Nigeria.

The World Bank President, Jim Yong Kim had at a press conference in Washing DC, United States, said “President Buhari said specifically that he would like us to shift our focus to the northern region of Nigeria and we’ve done that.”

In reaction, Fani-Kayoyde took to his Twitter handle (@RealFFK) on Friday morning to criticise the president’s deed.

The former minister said Buhari sees citizens from the South and Middle Belt as “low-lifes, vassals and slaves”.

“President of the World Bank, Kim Yong Jim, has said that @MBuhari told him to concentrate their efforts on northern Nigeria.

“Why am I not surprised? After all as far as @MBuhari is concerned southern Nigerians and Middle Belters are nothing but low-lifes, vassals and slaves,” Fani-Kayode tweeted.

Meanwhile, Kim had said, “There is so much turbulence in the northern part of the country, and there is the hit that was taken from the drop in the oil prices.”
