Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto State, has described his Ekiti State counterpart, Ayodele Fayose, as a major force in the Nigerian political landscape.

Tambuwal said this over the weekend in Ado-Ekiti while attending the burial ceremony of late Military Governor of the old Western Region, Major-General Adeyinka Adebayo.

It would be recalled that former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, had similar described Fayose as a grounded politician who is not scared of the opposition, and is loved by many.

“In politics, Governor Ayodele Fayose has become an important factor. He doesn’t pretend ‎and his voice is heard across the land. He identifies with the people and the people love him,” Tambuwal said.
