Fayose: What Manner Of President Gives Order And Realises It Was Disobeyed 2 Months Later

Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti State governor has once again criticized President Muhammadu Buhari, saying the president has no idea of happenings in the country.

Fayose in a statement via his official Twitter handle on Monday was reacting to Buhari’s claim that Ibrahim Idris, Inspector General of Police, disobeyed his orders.

Speaking on a one-day working visit to Benue State on Monday, the President said, “I’m not aware that the I-G did not spend 24 hours in the state as directed by me, I am getting to know in this meeting”.

Recall that shortly after the New Year’s Day attack in Benue, which claimed 73 lives, President Buhari ordered the Police IG to relocate to the state.

Despite respecting the President’s directive, Mr Buhari was told on Monday that the police boss never spent up to 24-hours in Benue, instead was said to have moved to neighbouring Nasarawa State.

But reacting to the President’s claim, Fayose wondered why the Mr Buhari is learning about the IGP’s alleged disobedience two months after.

The Ekiti governor said Buhari’s statement means he is not aware of happenings around him.

Fayose wrote: “What manner of a President will give order to the IGP on January 9, only to be telling Nigerians on March 12 (2 months after) that he never knew that the IGP disobeyed his order?

“Does this president really know anything about happenings around him, not to talk about Nigeria?”
