FCT Elections: PDP Vows To Host PMB, Minister In Abuja

Ahead of the area council’s elections holding this Saturday, 9th April 2016 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Tuesday, vowed to win all the elections in the state.

The Chairman of Abuja South East PDP, Barrister Chinelo Nnadi, in a statement, swore to host President Muhammadu Buhari and the FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello in Abuja by winning all the elections.

Nnadi, during a conference in Abuja, specifically urged all Nigerians in the FCT to disregard any contrary statement from anybody with regards to voting the PDP in the polls, urging all Igbos resident within the territory to ensure they cast their votes for all the candidates of the PDP.

“In the meetings we have had, all of us we decided to vote for the PDP. All our Chiefs meet and we have agreed to vote for the PDP. PDP is Igbo and Igbo is PDP,” she said.

On allegations that Igbos in Abuja do not have voter’s card, Nnadi said: “We live and work here. We have our PVCs and also have the right to vote here and that is exactly what we are going to do.

“There are greater reasons to vote PDP, we have young and vibrant candidates who will take over in these area councils. If Mr President or the FCT minister is not comfortable with PDP hosting them in Abuja, they should relocate to an APC state. Abuja is traditionally PDP and we are proud of that,” Ugbaja boasted amidst applause from party loyalists.
