FIFA U-17 World Cup: NTA/StarTimes Assures Live Telecast of Eaglets Matches

Ahead of the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, the Nigerian television Authority (NTA) and StarTimes has assured soccer-loving Nigerians that there will be no dull moment as arrangements towards the live coverage of matches involving the Golden Eaglets have been concluded.

This was revealed by the Chief Executive Officer of StarTimes TV Enterprise, Maxwell Loko, in a press conference to mark the 30-day countdown to the kick-off of the championship, held in Abuja on Thursday, where he promised that Nigerians will have the benefit of watching the Golden Eaglet’s games live.

He said; “Nigerians truly know that severally the U-17 team has brought honours and glory to this country with victories in four different editions of the championship. We are hopeful that in the tradition, the present team will make Nigerians very proud.

“We have absolute faith in the team and the Nigerian youth. Therefore, we, at StarTimes will collaborate with some TV stations in Nigeria through the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) to bring the games to every Nigerian home.”

The Golden Eaglets kick off their campaign against the United States, on Saturday 17th October, 2015.
