Finally, Senate Screens Rotimi Amaechi, Others
Following the receipt of reports on the petition written against him, former Rivers State Governor and ministerial nominee Rotimi Amaechi, on Thursday, proceeded for screening by the senate.
During the screening, Amaechi said that if he is confirmed as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on governance.
Senator Akpabio said that the PDP caucus in the senate will not be asking Amaechi any questions as they had just received reports of the petition against him (Amaechi), and need to study the report.

Senate leader Ali Ndume proposed that Amaechi should take a bow and go.
Other nominees that will face the lawmakers on are – Heineken Lokpobiri, Claudius Omoleye Daramola, Prof. Adewole Isaac, Shehuri Mustapha and Ocholi James.
