AJW Group, a leading global management of aircraft spares, has signed an agreement with Aero Contractors for restructuring and upgrading of its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) support services.

Capt. Ado Sanusi, Chief Executive Officer of Aero Contractors, revealed this in a statement released on Thursday in Lagos.

According to Capt Sanusi, the agreement signed in London recently will foresee an upgrade in its maintenance status to C-check, which is a higher level of maintenance for Boeing B737 aircraft.

The statement also explained that AJW Group would be supporting Aero Contractors with the upgrade of its MRO services to maintenance capabilities for Boeing 737 Classic and Bombardier aircraft.

Sanusi said: “We are very excited to work with AJW Group on this project and feel that it will have a marked effect on our operations going forward. Having been in the business for 58 years, I am confident we have found the right partner to work with.”

President and CEO of AJW Group, Christopher Whiteside said: “Our focus on quality is instilled in everything we do, and our decision to work with Aero Contractors is testament to that.

“AJW Group is highly regarded for its expertise and excellence across a broad range of MRO services, including repairs and inventory management and we look forward to working in partnership with Aero Contractors going forward.”

Recall that Aero Contractors in August, 2016 suspend all its scheduled services indefinitely.

According to the management, the decision was part of the strategic business realignment to reposition the airline and return it to the path of profitability.

Then in December, the airline announced its resumption across the country.
