First Ever Music Concert Movie, ‘Falz Experience’ Hits Cinemas Today

Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, is set to release his debut cinematic production titled Falz Experience: The Movie.

Falz described the movie as a platform to showcase the success of his 2017 December concert which has been regarded by some as the best music concert to happen in Nigeria.

“The movie is a follow-up to my last concert which was a massive success. It is also the first ever music concert movie adaptation produced in Nigeria where fans get to once again experience all the fun and excitement from the Falz Experience,” Falz said while speaking to newsmen at the premiere of the movie to a private audience in Lagos on Wednesday.

The 90 minutes movie which features Falz acting as multiple characters and featuring in separate scenes as a preacher (Taju), a waiter, a lawyer (Barrister Folarin), and a musician (Falz TheBahdGuy), will be available to movie lovers across the country from Friday. March 2, 2018.

The movie is written by Damilola Elebe and distributed by Filmone. The movie equally features Bisola Aiyeola, Adunni Ade, and Frank Donga among others.

Falz is no stranger to the TV screens. He played the character of Segun in Jenifa’s Diary; a role for which he won the “Best Actor in a Comedy” award at the 2016 AMVCA and AFRIMA’s “Best Male in West Africa Award” 2017.

A concert movie is defined as a documentary film that features an extended live performance by an entertainer.
