“They came in our village in large numbers, it is by the grace of God that we from the village were having sleepless nights since the rumour of the landing of a helicopter close to our village here, we were able to alert our people.

“Though four persons were killed, two women and two men, several people were injured and they are taking treatment at several hospitals as we speak,” an eyewitness told journalists by phone.

On Thursday, Governor Ishaku, had told the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, who was in the state to commiserate with him over the recent killings in Taraba, that he has credible intelligence that in 10 days, the Fulani militia was going to attack.

“We received a notice that in 10 days, we shall be attacked. I have alerted all security agencies. We are waiting.
