Headies Awards: Bovi, Seyi Shay To Host 12th Edition

Nigerian comedian and actor ‘Bovi Ogboma’ and Nigeria R&B singer ‘Seyi Shay’ have been announced the hosts of the 2018 Headies award.

They were revealed by the smooth production, organiser of the awards on Wednesday.

This makes it the second time Bovi will be holding the awards while it is the first time for Seyi Shay.

In 2015, the comedian alongside Kafayat ‘Kaffy’, a dancer and choreographer anchored the event.

A year prior, Bovi and Toke Makinwa were announced as hosts of the awards but Basketmouth was named as a last-minute replacement for the comedian.

Davido, Simi, Wizkid, and Olamide emerged as the most nominated in the 2018 Headies Awards.

With over 25 categories and 77 nominees, Davido leads with six nominations, Wizkid, Olamide and Simi embraced five nominations each.

Maleek Berry, Mayorkun and Johnny Drille were nominated for the coveted next rated category of the Headies. Also nominated are Chocolate City’s Dice Ailes and Zoro.

The Headies will take place on May 5 at the EKO Hotels, Lagos.
