American multinational information technology company, Hewlett Packard (HP), on Tuesday, unveiled a new 10.4 mm device, the world’s thinnest laptop.
This means the device is slimmer than the 12-inch MacBook (0.52 inches), MacBook Air (0.68 inches) and Dell XPS 13 (0.59 inches) at their thickest points.
Tagged HP Spectre, the device, which has a 13-inch HD 1920 x 1080 resolution display, boasts full-powered Intel processing and 9.5 hours of battery life.
With a sixth generation Core i5 or i7 processor, the Spectre was inspired by women’s purses and jewelry, the tech company said.
The major setback may be the speakers, which a company rep admitted could be at times excessively loud.
Pre-order starts from April 25, with prices starting at $1,170, before it hits stores May 22nd for $1,250.
