I’ve Never Received Any Gift Since My Husband Assumed Office – Aisha Buhari

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has claimed that she has never collected any gift from anyone since her husband began his campaign to become President till date.
Mrs. Buhari made this disclosure, when she spoke at the unveiling of a new campaign against graft tagged, “Women Against Corruption” in Abuja, on Wednesday.
She warned those who would want to give her gifts this Yuletide season to perish the thought.

“People have been trying to bring some gift items to me but I have not been collecting them, Mrs. Buhari said.
“Right from when I was campaigning with the Wife of the Vice President for our husbands, we did not take a dime from anyone and we have continued like that till today.
“I have never collected any gift and I am not ready to do so even in the future” she added.
Recall that Punch Newspapers reported that Aisha’s daughter, Zahra Buhari’s wedding was postponed because the President was uncomfortable with the attention the media was giving to the wedding after the groom Ahmed Indimi presented 30 Louis Vuitton leather bags worth about N47million to Zahra.
