Unknown hoodlums, suspected to be arsonist, burnt down the family house of Hon. Victor Dennis Ekaro, a special adviser to Rivers State Governor Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, at Ihuwo community in Ahoada-East local government area of Rivers State.

The attack came less than 24 hours after suspected cultists invaded the community and murdered three youths, believed to be members of a rival cult group.

Ekaro, who showed newsmen round the destroyed seven-room apartment on Sunday, said that the incident, which occurred on Saturday, was a threat to his life and that of his family.

Ekaro said, “In the history of Ihuwo community, no such thing l has happened before. This is the first time we saw that three youths were murdered in cold blood in this community by cultists.’’

He, therefore, called on security agencies to help bring those behind the dastardly act to book.
