INEC Releases Anambra Voter List

The Independent National Electoral Commission says it will on Wednesday publish the register of voters for the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State.

No fewer than two million voters have been registered for next month’s poll in the state.

Leo Nkedife, INEC’s Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, made the announcement in Awka, Anambra State on Tuesday.

He said the exercise was in compliance with Section 34 of the Electoral Act 2010 which provides for the publication of the voter register at a period not less than 30 days before the Election Day.

The Commission urged state chairmen and secretaries of political parties, candidates and their running mates, members of INEC Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security as well as journalists to attend.
