Instagram Now Lets You Share Multiple Photos And Videos Per Post

Photo and video sharing app, Instagram, on Thursday rolled out a new feature that allows users to share up to 10 photos and videos in one single post.

For now the number has been limited to 10. You can upload 10 different photos or videos or a combination of both in a single post, so that your followers can swipe through all of them in one place, the Facebook-owned company said.

“Whether you’re creating a step-by-step tutorial, recapping a surprise birthday party or sharing a collection from your recent getaway, you can now share more than just one moment without worrying about over-posting to your feed,” Instagram said in a press statement.

Earlier only advertisers were able to share the gallery which users could swipe through horizontally, but now the feature has made its way to all 600 million users.

The new update will show you a new icon which will let you select multiple photos and videos. After selecting the photos and videos, you can even change the order (tapping and holding) in which they appear. Filters can either be applied to each photo or video individually or in a batch.

You can only add a single caption to this set of photos, which will work like a carousel, the same goes for likes and comments.

Secondly, they will only appear in the square format for now. When going through your Instagram feed, you will be able to see a set of blue dots which indicate an album or carousel of photos. Users can however, tag friends in individual photos and videos.
