Int’l Friendly: Super Eagles Play Poland March 2018

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play Poland in an international friendly on March 23rd 2018 before the FIFA World Cup Tournament next year.

The Polish Football Association confirmed on Monday that Poland manager Adam Nawałka had agreed to lead the White and Reds against the coach Gernot Rohr’s team in preparation for the Mundial.

Spokesman for PZPN Jakub Kwiatkowski, who confirmed that Poland would play Nigeria on March 23, however, said no venue had been decided yet.

“We can confirm that we will play Nigeria on March 23. Decisions on the location of the match have not been made yet,” Polish FA (PZPN) spokesman Jakub Kwiatkowski wrote on his Twitter handle on Monday.

Recall that Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, revealed that the Nigeria national team will be involved in a pre-World Cup friendly against the Eastern Europe who finished third at both the Germany ’74 World Cup and Espana ’82 World Cup.

Poland who were drawn in Group H alongside Japan, Colombia and Senegal, open their Russia 2018 campaign against the Lions of Teranga in Moscow on June 19.

The friendly between the Super Eagles and their Polish counterparts has been fixed to hold in Wroclaw or the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów.
