IPOB Sit-At-Home: Fani-Kayode Hails Compliance, Extols Nnamdi Kanu
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has applauded the compliance to the sit-at-home order by pro-Biafran groups in the South-east of Nigeria.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) had called the exercise to commemorate the day in 1967 when the Biafra Republic declared secession from Nigeria.
The order recorded massive compliance in Onitsha, Aba and Umuahia, while places like Abakaliki, Awka and Enugu recorded only partial compliance.
Reacting to the level of compliance, Fani-Kayode described traders in the south-east as “brave young freedom fighters who have continued to resist the tyranny” of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He also extoled “friend and brother” Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB founder.
IPOB's "stay at home" order has brought the east to a standstill. These brave young freedom fighters who have continued to resist the tyranny of @MBuhari by peaceful means have won the respect of the world. They are martyrs and heroes.God bless my friend and brother Nnamdi Kanu!
