Kachikwu appoints four new GEDs for NNPC

The Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Dr. Emmanuel Kachikwu has appointed four new Group Executive Directors to man the four new Directorates of the Corporation that have been approved by the Presidency.
This appointment is coming after the former Chief Executive Officers were fired and replaced immediately, which was in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to remodel the Corporation.
Mr Kachikwu in a statement said that the new appointments were in line with the Federal Governments initiative to modify the oil Corporation into a more productive, business-focused, transparent and accountable company and also in line with international best practices.

The new Group Executive Directors to head the four Directorates approved by President Muhammadu Buhari are: Dr. Maikanti Baru, Group Executive Director, Exploration & Production; Mr. Isiaka Abdulrazaq,Group Executive Director, Finance & Services; Mr. Dennis Nnamdi Ajulu, Group Executive Director, Refining & Technology; and, Dr. Babatunde Victor Adeniran, Group Executive Director, Commercial & Investment.
In line with the transformation of the Corporation, 12 persons were recruited from outside the fold into the Top Management cadre to jump-start a new business outlook to enhance the operational environment as a profit-driven business as against the current civil service orientation.
The twelve new appointments outside the fold are: Mr. Chidi Momah who became the General Manager, Company Secretary & Legal Adviser, Mrs. Esther Nnamdi Ogbue as Managing Director, Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC), Mr Chinedu Ezeribe as Managing Director, Warri Refinning & Petrochemicals Company (WRPC), Mr. Babatunde Bakare as Managing Director Nigeria Gas Company (NGC).
Furthermore, Mr Inuwa Ibrahim Waya as Managing Director, Hyson; Mr Abubakar Mai-Bornu as Managing Director, Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), Mr. Ladipo Fagbola as Managing Director, NNPC Retail, Mr. Rowland Ewubare as Managing Director Integrated Data Services Ltd (IDSL).

Others are Mr. Modupe Bammeke as Managing Director, NNPC Properties, Mr. Abdulkadir Saidu as Managing Director, Duke Oil and,Mr. Dafe Sejebor, Group General Manager, Nigerian Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS).
The NNPC also retired 38 Top Management Staff reducing the number from 122 to 83.
