Kemi Adeosun: Finance Ministry Reacts To Minister’s Resignation

The Director of Information in the Ministry of Finance, Mr Hassan Dodo, has reacted in the negative to the resignation of Mrs Kemi Adeosun as the ministry’s chief.

Reports had emerged on Friday that 69 days after her NYSC certificate forgery scandal was brought to the fore, Mrs Adeosun finally resigned her position today.

The minister’s certificate forgery allegation was first exclusively reported by Premium Times on June 7. Up till the moment she resigned, the minister and the finance ministry have declined to comment on the allegation.

Asked to comment on the matter after Adeosun’s resignation report emerged, Mr Dodo said “the assumption” remains untrue as he could not confirm anything to reporters for now.

“No, no, no – I cannot co firm it. I really cannot confirm that to you. For me at my own end as the first son of the ministry, for now it’s a no. Until I hear from her, my assumption is that it’s not true,” he told Leadership
