Lagos CP: We Didn’t Arrest Bobrisky

The Lagos State Acting Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, says the command did not arrest popular Nigerian Male Barbie, Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, otherwise known as Bobrisky.

Imohimi, who spoke to the Punch on Wednesday, said no report was made against the cross-dresser.

“I don’t know about the arrest, and the command did not arrest him. He does not have any problem with the command. Ask him who arrested him,” he said.

The Police Public Relations Officer for Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, SP Dolapo Badmos, also denied arresting Bobrisky.

She said, “I am not aware of the arrest. Maybe he was arrested by somewhere else.”

Recall that reports had it on Wednesday that the internet personality was arrested by men of the Nigerian police in Lagos.

According to a photo circulating on social media, Bobrisky was without any footwear and looked visibly distraught as he was seen talking to a police officer in a station.

It was reported that the self-acclaimed male Barbie was arrested after admitting to being gay in an Instagram which he later deleted.

He wrote, ‘’Yes am gay, I will go to hell fire, thanks. Please what next? I’m tired of the same words, I want to hear something new, cheers!’’

There were also strong indications that he may have been arrested for his fight with serial entrepreneur Toyin Lawani.

Bobrisky had recently slandered Toyin via his Snapchat, after she called him a riff-raff during an interview.

However, one of Lawani’s assistants who spoke to Linda Ikeji Blog denied the allegations.

“Please she has nothing to do with that. You peoople should stop linking her to it,” she said.
