Lamido To Buhari: Nigeria’s Our Country, Enough Of APC’s Bullying, Nepotism

Former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido has slammed the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government for alleged intimidation of members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“We shall not keep quiet. It is our country. Enough of this culture of nepotism and fear,” said Lamido.

The ex-governor’s statement comes close on the heels of the arrest of Ekite State Commissioner of Finance and Attorney-General, shortly after Governor Ayodele Fayose declared his intention to run for president in 2019.

“We will be courageous. Nigeria has been around before APC and it will be around after APC”, he said.

“APC cannot take us hostage. We need to stand up. We need people to be courageous.

“Government should be respected not feared. Government should be there for all of us, whether APC and PDP. 2019 will be a defining moment for Nigeria,” said Lamido

It would be recalled that Fayose, at the official declaration of his presidential ambition, had vowed to unseat President Buhari, saying he has a penchant for defeating incumbent governments.
