Looming Job Loss As Etisalat Finally Exits Nigeria
As Etisalat Nigeria`s loan talks with investors collapse, reports say its Abu Dhabi`s parent company, Etisalat International has terminated management agreement with its Nigerian division.
This comes as Etisalat Nigeria’s UAE shareholders exit from the company’s board and management.
The implication of this may be a massive loss of jobs for its Nigerian workers.

The Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat International, Hatem Dowidar, in an interview on Monday with Reuters, said Etisalat Nigeria had since been given three weeks to phase out the company’s brand in Nigeria
It would be recalled that the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) had last week made a failed attempt at saving Etisalat Nigeria from collapsing.
