Man Ordered To Give Police At least One Day’s Notice Of Plans To Engage In Sex

A MAN has been banned from having any sexual contact with a woman unless he tells police at least a day in advance.

The man, who cannot be identified, must provide her name, address and date of   birth.

He also has to tell cops about any devices he owns that can go online.

The restrictions are part of an interim Sexual Risk Order. JPs will rule in   May whether to make it a full order.

They last at least two years.

The man, of York, faces up to five years’ jail if he breaches the conditions.

The Home Office said police seek SROs against people “thought to pose a risk”   who have not been convicted or cautioned.

Sarah Green, of End Violence Against Women, said SROs helped keep potential   victims safe.
