The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, has denied reports which stated that he tore and attempted to swallow the statement he voluntarily made to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding his alleged involvement in the $2.1billion arms fraud being investigated by the anti-graft agency.
The PDP spokesperson denied the report when he was speaking with some of his party members who paid him a visit at Kuje prison over the weekend.
“They said I ate paper. I did not eat any paper. I don’t know where they got that from. As a matter of fact, the last contact I had with those people was the next day after I was arrested when I told them to charge me to court,” he said
The EFCC is accusing Metuh of receiving N400 million from a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who is being prosecuted for allegedly mismanaging $2.1billion meant for arms procurement.
