Moses, Troost-Ekong Make ‘African Player Of The Year’ Shortlist
Chelsea’s Victor Moses and Bursaspor’s William Troost-Ekong were the only Super Eagles players that made the 2017 CAF African Player of the Year 30-man nomination list.
Confederation of African Football, CAF revealed the nominees shortlist on its website on Wednesday.

Moses played 40 games in all competitions for Chelsea in the 2016/17 season, scoring four goals and helping the Blues to win the Premier League title.
The 26-year-old winger became the only Nigerian player with the most Premier League appearances for a title winning team.
Moses spectacular performances also ensured the Super Eagles qualified for next year world cup in Russia.
While Troost-Ekong who plays for Turkish top fligt team, Bursaspor also was crucial in the qualification of the Nigerian senior national team for the next year’s event.

“The winner will be decided by votes from the Head Coaches/Technical Directors of the National Associations affiliated to CAF, members of the CAF Technical and Development Committee and a panel of Media Experts,’’ CAF said.
The Awards Gala will be held on Thursday, 4 January 2018 in Accra, Ghana.
