Nasarawa Governor Donates 35 Vehicles To Security Agencies

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has donated 35 brand new vehicle to security agencies in the state to help strengthen their work, especially in border communities with Benue State.

The vehicles’ were presented in Lafia over the weekend. In his speech during the presentation, Al-Makura said the state underwent serious socioeconomic challenges during the herders and farmers crisis in the neighbouring state of Benue.

“It is my conviction that this renewed effort of government at all levels and the energetic measures of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police and, indeed, other security agencies will be strategic in overcoming the security challenges that have continued to affect our harmonious coexistence, as well as disrupt the socioeconomic activities of Nigerians.”

The Governor called on the people, especially those living in the border community to share peace and love and to neglect bitterness and hate for the betterment of the state and the country.

The State Commissioner of police Bello Ahmed, in his statement, thanked the Governor for the gesture saying, “silent security revolution is taken place in Nasarawa state.”
