Neymar Banned For One Game For Marseille Red

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar, was handed a one-match ban on Thursday, following his red card against Marseille on Sunday.

Neymar grabbed a brilliant equaliser in a fiery encounter at Marseille Sunday before his side went down 2-1 with ten minutes to go.

Leading the chase for another equaliser, the 25-year-old appeared to have lost his cool, picking up two yellows in quick succession for retaliation.

At the time of his dismissal, PSG were 2-1 down. But Edinson Cavani managed to earn a point with a dramatic injury-time free-kick.

The Brazilian international will miss Friday’s Ligue 1 match against Mario Balotelli’s Nice.

Neymar will face a further one-match suspension if he commits the same offence before the end of the French top flight league season.

The 222 million-euro ($264 million) forward, has scored 10 goals in 11 games since his move from Spanish giants, Barcelona.
